Testimonials

After having my daughter who was 4 at the time in and out of various daycare centers, I was desperate to find a place that my daughter would feel comfortable and loved. I found Chantilly Academy and from the very first phone call, I knew that I had found the place.  My daughter’s day was full of education, fun, and exercise.   Her teachers were absolutely amazing every year. My daughter was able to build her confidence level and make new friends. After being at Chantilly Academy my daughter’s first reading test in Kindergarten was well above benchmark levels.  We  were blessed by finding Chantilly Academy.

We discovered this wonderful school tucked inside a state of the art gymnastics training facility when our son was embarking on his first year of pre-school at 3.  It was the perfect match for our active, inquisitive, passionate man.  They embraced him just as he was and helped him move forward in his development in all areas, not just education.  He became socially adept through his interactions with the caring staff and cross classroom sharing.  He became an avid reader a year after leaving CA because of the strong foundation of exploration, play, movement, and tactile learning.  When our daughter arrived, a totally different child in her own right, CA was still the perfect match!  Every child shines at this school.  All learners stand out as unique and develop strong skills that will serve them well into their careers in public schools.  I recommend CA to all my friends and co workers!

Our family cannot say enough good things about Chantilly Academy.  Our two boys, Lucas and Graham, each spent two wonderful years there and still reminisce about it with love.  Living in the pressure cooker of NOVA,  a loving, accepting, play-focused pre-school like Chantilly Academy is not easy to find.  The preschool staff accept kids where they are, love them, play with them, and introduce them to age-appropriate play and learning.  Chantilly Academy won a permanent place in our hearts when our older son was struggling with social interactions.  The teachers worked with us on simple, daily ways to help teach Lucas how to interact with his peers and reestablish healthy peer relationships.  I am happy to say that we now have two happy, well-adjusted elementary school kids who have friends and are doing super academically; I think Chantilly Academy played a huge role in that.  I am so grateful and would recommend Chantilly Academy to anyone.

At its core, the curriculum is something I had a hard time finding elsewhere in the Herndon area —socially based for the younger students, and a healthy balance of social and academics for the rising kindergartners. I have found the focus to always be on a nurturing, supportive environment where EVERYONE feels safe to grow personally independent.   There is far too much pressure in Northern Virginia for our students to perform at higher-than-age-appropriate levels from an early age.  It’s especially evident in preschools, a time when kids are setting foundations for self reliance, friendship making, and self esteem.  At CAP, everyone brings love to their classroom and makes each kid –even those who lack social understanding– feel valued and understood.

Our family spent four fun filed years at Chantilly Academy.  Evidence of CAP lives on in our house in the form of art projects, videos, holiday presents, bike rally medals – the list goes on!  As a working mom, I loved the open and easy communication between the teachers and parents.  Allie and Sam transitioned so well to elementary school and I know we have the family at CAP to thank!

Our son was in your preschool class at Chantilly Academy about 17 years ago.  We remember those days fondly, from the bike parade to all of the crafts.  I discovered the box of all of things I saved from his three years at the school, all of which are very precious to us.  One was a sweater he wore for his preschool picture taken at the Academy.  I unfolded it and got teary-eyed.  One of his paintings from your class remains framed on our kitchen wall and is a daily reminder of those early days when he was so active and learning how to learn.

John has become a responsible and kind young man.  He is now a senior at Georgetown University and majoring in Finance. Somehow he has managed to maintain a 3.9 G.P.A. while spending about 25 hours/week working at the Credit Union.  After graduation in May, he is headed off to Wall Street to work at Barclays in the power and utilities division.  We are proud of his hard work and are grateful for all of those who have made an impact in his life, both personally and academically.  What a great start he had with you at Chantilly Academy!

With kindest regards,
